Only five cruise ships to dock in Vallarta in June
According to the schedule and statistics provided by the Administration of the National Port System (Asipona) Puerto Vallarta, there will only be 5 cruise ship arrivals during the month of June, including the Carnival Panorama and the Navigator of the Seas, which are expected to carry 23,400 passengers.

University students clean beaches and rivers of Vallarta for World Environment Day
Students from the ICEP Puerto Vallarta University participated in a clean-up of the city’s natural areas as part of World Environment Day in order to spread awareness of the value of these areas and to implore locals not to litter the city’s streams and beaches in order to lessen the contamination that already exists there.

Los Cabos lifesaver to take training course
Due to the upcoming Aquatic Rescue course, the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (Zofemat) announced via social media that its lifeguards will be temporarily removed from the beaches of Cabo San Lucas. The staff responsible for the safety of swimmers will need to miss these dates in order to attend this course, which is held annually by the Cabo San Lucas Fire Department and the lifeguard association “Surf Livesaving del Sur.”

Tourism companies donate 116,000 pesos to associations in Cabo San Lucas
The T3 Group and its companies have supported associations and institutions in Cabo San Lucas dedicated to helping the most vulnerable groups in the community. Karina Gaytán, the company’s Social Responsibility Coordinator, pointed out that the donations were made possible thanks to a series of activities that were carried out to raise the funds delivered to the beneficiary associations.

Cozumel presents an elderly couple with first sargassum home
Longtime Islanders from Cozumel now have a new house. The home is the first sargassum building in Cozumel and was built with sargablocks. A long-time elderly couple received the modest house over the weekend.
Beginning in mid-2022, volunteer laborers built the house, which they did in just under nine months.

Opening of the Nichupté Lagoon bridge scheduled for April 2024
Delivery of the Nichupté lagoon’s new vehicular bridge is expected in April 2024. The 8.8-kilometer-long bridge is being built to link the city and the Cancun Hotel Zone.
Hundreds of workers are working shifts around the clock to construct the bridge.
