RCI recognizes Hotel Garza Blanca Puerto Vallarta for excellence in service
This Monday, RCI, the world’s leading vacation exchange company, presented Hotel Garza Blanca Puerto Vallarta with the Gold Crown 2023 award plaque and this year’s Excellence In Service award.
The Gold Crown Award is the highest award that RCI (Resorts Condominiums International) can bestow upon its member resorts, and in fact, this company only offers this award to around 10% of the resorts that participate in this company’s program.

Sea turtle arrival season begins in June
Ricardo Villaseñor Llamas, president of the Asociación Civil Grupos Ecologistas de Nayarit, Campamento Tortuguero El Naranjo, announced that the sea turtle nesting season will begin at the end of June.
Villaseñor Llamas said that each season the number of nests varies greatly due to the effects of hurricanes, because the beach becomes a wall and the turtles cannot climb to lay their eggs.

Sixth Paella Festival: A gastronomic delight with a charitable purpose
The Sixth Annual Paella Festival was held this weekend at the Hilton Hotel, an event benefiting the Rotary Club of Los Cabos. The main goal of the festival was to raise funds for the club’s scholarship program, which supports underprivileged children and young people. Attendees were enthusiastic about enjoying delicious paellas while contributing to a noble cause.
With the participation of 14 hotels in the destination, the Sixth Paella Festival was a true showcase of culinary skills and knowledge of Spanish cuisine.

Puerto Chale Pier in La Paz could cost up to 20 MDP
The Puerto Chale pier will cost the city of La Paz 20 million pesos and may not be completed this year.
This is the first phase of the project, and the funds disbursed represent only 10 percent of the total cost of the work. The state government will contribute half of the budget.
The goal is to complete the pier this year.

Isla Mujeres fishing tournament comes to an end
The XVIII International Cosme Alberto Martnez Magaña Fishing Tournament of Isla Mujeres has concluded. Awards were given out following several days of intense and competitive fishing.
The winners were presented with their prizes on Sunday. 44 species of billfish were reportedly returned to the sea during the competition to help with the species’ conservation, according to Gómez Ricalde, who spoke during the ceremony.

First tropical system of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season detected by the National Hurricane Center
The first tropical system of the 2023 hurricane season has been reported by the National Hurricane Center in Miami. The American organization discovered the region’s first system in the southwest Atlantic on Sunday.
According to the National Hurricane Center, “A surface trough interacting with an upper-level low is producing a large area of disturbed weather extending a couple hundred miles northeast of the Bahamas.
