Puerto Vallarta beaches only have 27 umbrella rent permits
The Jalisco delegation of the Secretariat of Natural Resources and the Environment (Semarnat) reported that there are a total of 27 permits for umbrella rentals on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta.
The problem was observed especially during the Holy Week and Easter, when tourists and locals visited the city’s beaches and found the best spots occupied by vendors or, in the case of the smallest beaches, no place to put their umbrellas.

Jalisco sailing delegation champions at CONADE Nationals
More than 160 athletes from 9 states of the country participated in the CONADE 2023 Nationals in the Sailing category, held May 26-28 at Cruz de Huanacaxtle in Banderas Bay.
The Jalisco team was crowned champion after winning eight gold, two silver and two bronze medals, a historic result for the Jalisco delegation that had not been achieved since 2010; in second place was Quintana Roo with 5 gold medals and in third place was Yucatan with 4 medals.

Coyote 300 officially presented for June 17, 18
The next race of the annual PROBAJA series, “Coyote 300”, was presented at a press conference, which will take place this Father’s Day, June 17 and 18, 2023, starting at kilometer 35 and having as its traditional finish, Tecolote Beach.
The competition will be divided into two stages, the first will be the departure of the motorcyclists at 7:00 a.m. where they will pass through areas such as Reforma Agraria, El Tepete, the northernmost area will be La Ahuja, Conquista Agraria, El Tomate, Los Inocentes, El Carrizal, Los Altares and ending at Rancho Pro Baja.

Chefs for Los Cabos raise $300.00 for community dining hall
The tenth edition of Chefs for Los Cabos took place this past Saturday. Nearly 300 people had the opportunity to taste exquisite dishes prepared by 24 renowned top chefs. The goal of this gastronomic encounter was to benefit the community dining room “Dibujando Nuestro Sueño”.
Chef por Los Cabos and Chefs Club Vatel de BCS joined forces to organize a gastronomic event for a good cause. For this occasion, 24 renowned chefs from Los Cabos worked in pairs to create exclusive dishes using top quality products. In addition, the dishes were paired with wines from leading national and international wineries.

Isla Mujeres in top 10 most visited Magic Towns
Atenea Gómez Ricalde says the municipality is still in the top ten this year because of aggressive tourist promotion.
Ongoing beach maintenance, as well as recently announced infrastructure projects, help to promote the destination.
The municipality’s island portion has the distinctive Blue Flag beach recognition, and is known as a destination of natural wealth and clean beaches.

Air Canada to add flights to Cancun for next winter season
Air Canada, the country’s national carrier, appears set to capitalize on Cancun’s popularity by adding several more flights per week than it did during the winter season last year.
As one might expect, major population centers account for a significant portion of these additional flights.
Last winter, 11 flights per week took off from Toronto bound for Cancun.
