A delegation from Puerto Vallarta, made up of the city’s Tourism Trust and the Municipal Tourism Board, participated in the International Airline Representative Associates Fair in Guadalajara 2023 (ARLAG). In this event, the most important airlines, shipping companies, tour operators, travel agencies, car rental companies and tourist destinations presented their novelties to the professionals of the sector and the citizens of Guadalajara.

Employees, the key to RCI awards: hoteliers
The employees of the hotel sector are the key to obtaining the Gold Crown Awards from RCI, a global vacation exchange company, which grants these awards based on surveys filled out by guests visiting the resorts.
Alejandro Meza, General Manager of Almar Resort, one of the first to receive the RCI award during this week of awards, said he was proud to receive this recognition, especially for his employees.

American citizen hit by Ruta del Desierto bus in Los Cabos
An American citizen, a temporary Los Cabos resident, reported being run over by a Ruta del Desierto public transportation vehicle. The man was seriously injured as a result of the incident and attempted to contact the company to report the incident.
The events occurred on December 13, 2022, according to Mr. Joe Greenberg, a resident of San Francisco, California.

First Maya Train cars prepared for delivery to Cancun
The cars for the Maya Train are almost ready to leave the state of Hidalgo. The train cars were built in the state and are currently being prepared for shipment to Quintana Roo.
The cars will be shipped in the coming weeks and delivered to a maintenance garage near the under-construction Cancun Maya Train station.

Security on Isla Mujeres beefed up for two international events
Over the weekend, the island’s security was beefed up in preparation for two international events. The island hosted an international swimming competition and its annual fishing tournament from May 19 to 21.
A police helicopter was also part of the increased security as part of the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security in Quintana Roo’s strategies, performing flyovers throughout the municipality.
