Letty Baca, beloved Vallartan, has passed away
Emma Leticia Baca Olguín, beloved Vallarta resident, passed away Thursday morning. Letty Baca, as she was widely known in social and political circles in Puerto Vallarta, was a deputy councilwoman during the last city government. Her last position in government was as the West Region Coordinator for the Economic Development Secretariat of Jalisco.
Letty Baca was born in Tecoman, Colima, but lived for over three decades in Puerto Vallarta. For many years she was the Public Relations Head in the golden years of legendary Camino Real Hotel. In 2011 she became the first coordinator of the Movimiento Ciudadano Party in town. Under her tenure, this political institution won the city presidency for the first time in history.
Letty held a BA with a major in Commercial Relations. She spoke English and French beside Spanish. She was a passionate of social democracy and held several posts in public administration.
Letty Baca is survived by her children Estefanía y José Luis.
