The Marina Vallarta Residents Association has finally completed the installation of a Covid PCR testing module. Although designed originally for tourism, it will also be available for workers in the area. They will receive a special price.
This project had been in plans for several months and has materialized at long last. The module is located at the end of Popa Street, on the Marina del Rey roundabout.
The Marina Vallarta Residents Association’s administrator, Antonio Garcia, explained that the project was consolidated with the support of the Puerto Vallarta City Hall through the Tourism Department. Participants were also some Puerto Vallarta laboratories, and the Med Travel magazine. Local doctors from the magazine have already set the project in motion.
The project looks to assist the Health Board’s agreements, which is to have a control on infections by COVID 19. The module will be open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Mondy through Saturday. It will be working throughout the month of September.
This module also aims to promote the rapid antigen and COVID-19 tests among residents and tourists.
Dr. Viridiana Rodriguez noted that this module is intended for tourism and that during the opening, there is a 10% discount for employees of Marina Vallarta-based firms and residents.
She emphasized that the goal is that people do not have to wait in line in order to save time. They will arrive, register, and get the test right away.
The results are ready in one hour, but if the case is urgent and people must travel, time can be shorter so that they do not miss their flight.
The antigen test has a cost of $650 pesos. It will be ready in one hour. PCR tests are $2,499 pesos. They are ready in 24 hours. Workers in the Marina Vallarta area will receive a 10% discount. They are taking cash and credit card payments.
