Air Canada to add flight to Cancun for next winter season
May 30, 2023
Air Canada, the country’s national carrier, appears set to capitalize on Cancun’s popularity by adding several more flights per week than it did during the winter season last year.
As one might expect, major population centers account for a significant portion of these additional flights.
Last winter, 11 flights per week took off from Toronto bound for Cancun.
This year, however, that number has risen to 17, providing travelers with even more flight options per week than they did at this time last year.
Not only is this a huge win for fans of flexible booking options, but it should significantly increase the number of visitors to the Mexican Caribbean.
However, it is not only Toronto residents who will benefit from increased flight options to Cancun. Montreal will also benefit from three additional weekly flights, as the 4-hour 30-minute flight will increase from 11 to 14.
In addition, Halifax, Ottawa, and Edmonton will each gain an additional weekly flight to Cancun, with their schedules increasing from two to three weekly departures. Quebec will also increase its number of weekly flights to Cancun by one, from three to four.
