Air Canada to offer direct Montreal – Cozumel flight this summer

The new Cozumel-Montreal route was inaugurated this Tuesday, May 9, by Air Canada. This route will operate one flight per week on Tuesdays and is temporary. It will remain open until next Tuesday, August 8th of this year.

Thus, during the summer vacation period, the International Airport of the Island of Cozumel is expanding its air routes to North America in order to strengthen and increase international air connections and bring more tourism to the Mexican Caribbean.

For this new route, Air Canada will be using Airbus A319 aircraft with a capacity of up to 156 passengers per flight, so it is estimated that more than 2,184 visitors will arrive during the summer vacation period with this direct connection to the island.

Tickets for this new route are already available through the mobile application, the website, physical points of sale and travel agencies.

As for the domestic flights that will arrive to the island of Cozumel during the summer, VivaAerobús will restore the direct route to the city of Monterrey. This connection will begin on June 2nd with two weekly flights and more than three thousand seats during the summer season.
