American Airlines will boost flights into Cancun for the winter tourism season 2023-2024. More than 120 members of the airline’s International Division met in Cancun for the announcement.

The American Airlines crew was in Cancun for an annual conference, which provided an opportunity for leaders to discuss goals for 2024 as well as give back to the community at Fundación Aitana.

Beginning December 5, American will increase service on ten routes from Charlotte (CLT) that will operate throughout the winter. Customers will have more alternatives with 40% more tickets available from Charlotte to Mexico as the airline expands its Cancun (CUN) service to five daily flights.

American Airlines aims to fly its busiest Cancun schedule to date this winter, with up to 40 daily flights to 18 US locations. In addition, the airline will begin nonstop service to Cancun (CUN) from Nashville (BNA) and Cincinnati (CVG) on December 9. Saturday service from BNA and CVG will be available until the end of March.

These additional routes will supplement the airline’s more than 35 peak-day flights to Cancun, including the recently announced addition of a second daily service from Austin, Texas (AUS) beginning November 5.

American also aims to expand service to seven popular Mexican destinations from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), with more than 50 daily departures from DFW to Mexico.
