Grupo AVASA has announced that it will offer car rental services at the new Tulum International Airport. The General Director of Arrendadora de Vehiculos Automotores Sociedad Anónima (AVASA), Marco Antonio Adueza Martinez, stated that they will have an automobile rental presence at the Tulum airport.

According to Adueza Martinez, the company represents prominent vehicle rental companies such as Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty, and Firefly. They now operate in over 50 airports around Mexico and will soon add Tulum to their extensive list.

He claims that their company currently controls 25% of the Mexican automobile rental market. Adueza Martinez was present at the launch of their newest Hertz location, which is located in the new Grand Outlet Riviera Maya complex on the outskirts of Cancun.

He claims that AVASA serves the tourism demand created throughout the country, and that the Quintana Roo region is critical because it accounts for 28 percent of the company’s operations.

It is also the reason they have established its headquarters in Cancun, where growth has been extremely favorable. According to the General Director, the four brands they represent cover all tourism profiles, allowing them to meet any market requirement, and that their presence in Tulum will bring service closer to the customer.

Meanwhile, he stated that details are still being worked out, but they are part of the business profile for the Tulum International Airport, which is set to open in December.
