Air Canada has announced an increase in flights to several destinations, including Cancun, this winter. According to the airline, it expects an 11% increase in capacity for the upcoming winter season.
In comparison to 2022, they intend to operate 8% more flights than before the pandemic, including more weekly flights into Cancun. Florida, Montreal to Palm Beach, Toronto to Fort Myers, and Vancouver to Miami, Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, according to Air Canada.
Cancun, a powerhouse sun and sand destination, will see the most expansion for Air Canada and its sister company Air Canada Vacations, with up to 21 flights per week from Toronto. In addition, the airline has announced 14 flights from Montreal, seven flights from Vancouver, four flights from Quebec, and three flights each from Halifax, Ottawa, and Edmonton.
“We are seeing continued strong interest in winter leisure travel, and as the leading airline from Canada to the most popular sunbathing destinations, we are delighted to be adding exciting new services from Toronto and Montreal to the Caribbean and Mexico, as well as significant increases from our Vancouver hub in response to pent-up demand.”
