Cancun: Aeromexico and Viva enjoy success on routes to 3 US cities

The Centro de Investigación y Competitividad Turística Anáhuac (Cicotur) reported that the United States continues to be the largest market for the Mexican Caribbean, where Aeroméxico and Viva Aerobus are enjoying success on the Dallas, Houston and Chicago routes, the busiest ones.

 

The Dallas-Cancun route has mobilized 882,737 passengers as of September this year. It is followed by the Houston-Cancun route with 882,737 passengers and then the Chicago-Cancun route with 752,471 passengers.

 

In August this year, the United States recorded an increase of 2.7% over the same period last year, with 4,285.80 visitors.

 

Another important market, in second place among the countries that visit these destinations, is Canada, with 888,939 visitors, an increase of 54.8% compared to last year. In third place is the United Kingdom with 252,900 tourists and with 16.5% less travelers than in 2022.

 

Colombia follows in the order of the list with 203 thousand 821 people, which is 21.4% less than last year’s figures; then Argentina with 129 thousand 839 visitors, an increase of 4.4% and Chile with 98 thousand 781 tourists, an increase of 20%.
