The long-awaited construction of Colosio Boulevard and the Cancun International Airport road distributor is now complete. Both projects, which were deemed critical, cost approximately 1.5 billion pesos.

Colosio Boulevard, the city’s major entry, features 13.3 kilometers of renovated roadway, as well as the connecting road distributor to Cancun International Airport. It now has walkways and lighting, giving people more security.

The two projects, which total nearly 1.5 billion pesos in federal investments, are part of Cancun’s Comprehensive Program for the Development of Strategic Projects.

Other major infrastructure projects under development include the Cancun Nichupté lagoon bridge, Chac Mool Avenue, and the route connecting the airport to the Maya Train station. All three are expected to be completed in March 2024.
