The first stone for two new hotels in Cancun has been laid. The building of Live Aqua Riviera Cancun and Grand Fiesta Americana Riviera Cancun All Inclusive Resort & Spa will cost more than $300 million USD.

According to José Carlos Azcarraga, President of Grupo Posadas, these iconic structures will create 6,000 new jobs, 2,000 of which will be direct. He stated that the two hotels, which have more than 1,000 rooms, are an important project for Grupo Posadas, which will have a 25% increase in its hotel portfolio in Quintana Roo with 13 hotels across seven brands.

Both hotels are set to open between the end of 2026 and the middle of 2027.
