The Green Angels are once more helping the island of Cozumel. The agency’s reactivation was announced by Juanita Alonso Marrufo, the mayor of the island, on June 16.

Alejandro Zuñiga Bernal, the general director of Los Verdes Tourist Services, met with Juanita Alonso Marrufo, the head of the Cozumel City Council, to discuss how to restart the organization’s operations on the island.

According to Ziga Bernal, a Collaboration Agreement will be signed with the Cozumel City Council to reactivate the General Directorate of Tourist Services Angeles Verdes, which is a crucial component for visitors to the island and is part of the strategies to strengthen road tourism in the state of Quintana Roo.

The Emergency Center was opened on the beach, and it will work well with Los Angeles Verdes to provide prompt assistance to travelers. Two units will be present to offer coverage on a 63-kilometer circuit from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day of the year, according to Alejandro Zuñiga Bernal.
