During its maiden voyage, the biggest cruise ship in the world is scheduled to call at both Mahahual and Cozumel. The newest ship from Royal Caribbean will set sail from Miami for a seven-day cruise in January 2024.

Icon of the Seas will be the biggest ship ever built. Icon of the Seas can accommodate nearly 10,000 people, 7,600 of whom are passengers, and is 6 percent larger than Wonder of the Seas.

The 1,198-foot ship, dubbed the “largest waterpark at sea,” will sail with 20 decks, seven pools, and six waterslides.

Icon of the Seas will embark on a seven-night Western Caribbean cruise from Miami on January 27, 2024, with stops in Roatan, Honduras, Costa Maya (Mahahual), and Cozumel.

The arrival was announced by the Cozumel government on Thursday.
