The seaside town of Mahahual’s next construction project will be a 3.3 million bicycle path. The new bicycle path will be added to the recently announced paving project, according to the mayor, Yensunni Martnez Hernández, who made the announcement on Monday.

In the town of Mahahual, approximately 8 million pesos will be invested during 2023. She claimed that funds from Mahahual’s Social Infrastructure Contributions Fund (FAIS) were being used for the projects.

From Jaiba Street to Guachinango Street, the new bike path will follow the Cafetal-Mahahual highway. 1,125 linear meters of path will be made available to 2,600 residents as part of the project, which will cost about 3.3 million pesos.

Contractor John Hernández Domnguez will complete the project, which entails preliminary work, pavement, signage, and delimiting stops.

This most recent project is in addition to the 4.6 million being spent on Mahahual’s road infrastructure.
