Montreal – Cozumel flight by Air Transat returns after three years

After three years away, Cozumel greeted an Air Transat flight from Montreal with the customary water arch. After being missing for three years, the aircraft made a weekend landing at the island’s international airport.

Air Transat’s weekly flights from Montreal to Cozumel are back in operation. The flights, according to the airline, are seasonal and will run until April 26, 2024.

Badhi Sleme Flores, the director of tourism for Cozumel, emphasized the need to keep fortifying connections in order to boost air connectivity and draw in more visitors who may spend more time in the island.

The 67 passengers from Montreal were greeted on the island by Badhi Sleme Flores, Jorge Carlos Campos Romero, Airport Administrator, and Miguel Ángel Silvaran, Air Transat agent.
