Quintana Roo receives 220 Reader’s Choice Award nominations

With 220 nominations for the Reader’s Choice Awards 2023, Quintana Roo confirms its continued leadership in global tourism for its high-quality services, cuisine, natural beauty, and air connectivity.

Condé Nast Traveler, an international publication that focuses on luxury travel and lifestyle, has unveiled the nominees for its coveted Reader’s Choice Awards 2023, one of the most valued in the tourism industry.

Quintana Roo received a total of 220 nominations, including Cancun in the category of airports and cities as well as Holbox, Cozumel, and Isla Mujeres in the Islands, according to the CNTraveler website.

Three nominations were made in the category of spa destinations, 39 in the category of hotels, 141 in the category of tourist centers, and 32 in the category of restaurants, bars, and beach clubs.

Playa del Carmen tops the list of the most deserving locations for hotels and resorts, with 70 nominated properties, followed by Cancun (48), Tulum (27), Isla Mujeres (12), Puerto Morelos (10), Cozumel (9), Chetumal (3), and Holbox (3 nominations).

Quintana Roo has solidified its position as one of Mexico’s top luxury travel destinations thanks to the distinction in the number of nominations, which shows the dedication of all those working in the tourism sector to serving travelers.
