More than 18,000 cruise ship guests visited Cozumel on December 24 aboard the ships that anchored there. Seven ships were docked on Cozumel for holiday vacationing Caribbean cruisers.

The head of Quintana Roo’s Integral Port Administration (Apiqroo), Vagner Elbiorn Vega, said that all seven boats arrived on the same day. He claimed that it had been a while since Cozumel had that many cruise ships docked together.

This year we hope to break the record for cruise passengers. We have ports that have received the highest number of visitors in the country.

He detailed that on December 24, Scarlet Lady arrived with 1,577 passengers; Carnival Glory with 3,616; Carnival Paradise with 2,641; Carnival Conquest with 3,591; Celebrity Summit with 2,425; the Adventure OTS with 3,906; and Viking Neptune with 862.
