Swoop will begin offering direct flights from Toronto to Cancun in January

Additional direct flights to the Caribbean from major Canadian cities have been announced. Swoop announced new flights to Mexico and the Caribbean from Hamilton, Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Abbotsford earlier this week.

“As Canada’s leading ultra-low-fare airline, we are excited to expand our flying in the sun this winter,” said Swoop President Bob Cummings.

“With winter weather in full swing, demand for leisure travel to the south is at an all-time high, and we are proud to meet that demand with this additional capacity,” he added.

Swoop will relaunch several services, including one from Toronto to Cancun, beginning in January. The route from Toronto to Cancun will have eight weekly frequencies. The press release did not specify a specific date for the relaunch.
