Tulum introduces anti-sargassum plan

Tulum authorities started the Integral Containment Plan “Tulum Against Sargassum”.

Five vehicles and tools were delivered to Zofemat Tulum, marking a milestone in the fight against this macroalgae. Tulum is the first municipality to collect sargassum at sea. The objective is to maintain quality beaches and sustainability.

The “Doctor Gonzalez Cano” project will monitor, stop and divert the sargassum, preserving the Platinum Beach distinction in 4 tourist spots.
