UBER to start operations in Chetumal

The Uber service platform has announced that its application is now available for drivers in Chetumal.

According to an Uber statement, to review the requirements, users must go to uber.com/drive or download the Uber Driver application to their cell phone, either on Android or iOS.

It went on to say that once a potential driver meets the requirements, they will be able to start taking trips with the app and earn more money flexibly.

The company reiterated that the company’s ability to operate in Chetumal stems from an injunction obtained on January 11, 2023, which determined that the services provided by the driving partners through the application are private, and thus a public transportation concession is not required in this state.

Also, it was announced that the application will be available to users who want to travel within Chetumal in an accessible and reliable manner in the coming weeks.
