Volaris launches Guadalajara – Puerto Vallarta direct flight
Airline Volaris launched its Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta route on Thursday, with 178 passengers welcomed at the Puerto Vallarta international airport with drinks, the traditional mariachi, and gifts from airport and tourism authorities.
This new route will begin with a daily flight of 180 seats, with the expectation of exceeding the figures of 2022, which was a historic year, according to Luis Villaseñor Nolasco, director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust.

Vallarta Award 2023 presented on Vallarta’s anniversary
This Wednesday afternoon, May 31st, the ceremonial session for the 105th anniversary of Puerto Vallarta as a municipality and 55th as a city was held, during which the Vallarta Award was presented and the history of this tourist destination was recalled.
Only five awards were given, but none of them was the most representative of the date, which is the “Ignacio Luis Vallarta Ogazon Award”.

Los Cabos-Torreon route to be launched this summer
A new direct flight between Los Cabos and Torreon has been announced by the Los Cabos Tourism Trust, the Ministry of Tourism and Economy (Setue), and Viva Aerobus. This flight will begin operations on July 3rd, with two weekly flights. The flight will depart from Los Cabos International Airport at 2:50 p.m. and arrive at Torreon Francisco Sarabia International Airport at 5:15 p.m.

As the summer travel season begins, Los Cabos municipal officials, tourism officers, and local police and fire departments have issued an advisory to help tourists stay safe in the hot summer sun.

Cozumel is vying for the Magic Town title
The Cozumel City Council unanimously agreed to proceed with the procedures for inclusion in the Magic Towns program. The federal government created the program in collaboration with states and municipalities to recognize cities and towns for their efforts to protect and preserve their cultural wealth.
Cozumel mayor Juanita Alonso Marrufo explained that during the current administration, measures to protect and conserve cultural and natural heritage have been implemented, demonstrating the commitment to the preservation of our identity and its historical legacy.

Cancun a main player in Air Canada’s winter flight expansion
Air Canada has announced an increase in flights to several destinations, including Cancun, this winter. According to the airline, it expects an 11% increase in capacity for the upcoming winter season.
In comparison to 2022, they intend to operate 8% more flights than before the pandemic, including more weekly flights into Cancun, Florida, Montreal to Palm Beach, Toronto to Fort Myers, and Vancouver to Miami, Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, according to Air Canada.
