An American citizen, a temporary Los Cabos resident, reported being run over by a Ruta del Desierto public transportation vehicle. The man was seriously injured as a result of the incident and attempted to contact the company to report the incident.

The events occurred on December 13, 2022, according to Mr. Joe Greenberg, a resident of San Francisco, California. Greenberg was riding his bicycle on the side of the Transpeninsular Highway at the time when he was hit by a public transit vehicle. Greenberg believes the driver acted deliberately in the incident and believes he is not the only one who has encountered similar situations.

Furthermore, Mr. Greenberg stated that there was a witness on the scene who saw the driver abruptly change lanes. This witness photographed the driver of the unit as well as the vehicle’s license plate.

In terms of injuries and potential consequences, the US citizen confirmed that he was injured in the face and suffered a dislocated shoulder, which required emergency surgery. The surgery was performed on the same day as the accident, and his health insurance covered all medical expenses.

Furthermore, Joe Greenberg stated that he attempted to contact the Ruta del Desierto company via their website but received no response. In this situation, he decided to go to the police station and report the incident.

The police referred him to the Tourist Assistance Center (Cattac), where he gave his statement and was told to get a medical certificate. Greenberg, on the other hand, was hesitant to take this step because he expected it to be a lengthy and complicated process.
