Team Stella June sets new world record by winning $4,404.2 million in the Bisbee’s 2023 sportfishing tournaments.

The total prize money was more than $11 million between the Black & Blue and Los Cabos Offshore tournaments run simultaneously this year.

Stella June won with a 368-pound black marlin caught on the first day of fishing, making it the team that won the most money with daily prizes and jackpots.

The total amount corresponded to $497,650 from the Los Cabos Offshore tournament and $3,906,550 million from the Black & Blue, for a total amount of $4,404,200 million.

This is the largest individual check given in the 43-year history of the tournaments, surpassing the Bad Company team that in 2006 had won 3.9 million dollars.

The awards dinner was held at the Jetty Pier on Saturday, October 28 after two days of back-to-back fishing for both tournaments. The winning teams of each tournament received their respective symbolic checks and trophies, ending with a fireworks display that illuminated the bay of Cabo San Lucas.
