May 19, 2023

The government of Los Cabos is in the process of reviewing the international beach standards for the period 2023, a process developed by Blue Flag Mexico staff.

During the first day of work, the Riu Place, Riu Santa Fe, Riu Palace Baja California, Villa del Palmar, Villa La Estancia and Villa del Arco beaches in Cabo San Lucas and the Tourist Corridor were audited.

In the development of these actions, the 23 Blue Flag beaches in the destination will be monitored to ensure that they comply with the 33 international criteria divided into 4 categories: Information and Environmental Education, Water Quality and Environmental Management, and Safety and Services.

Thus, Los Cabos is consolidated among the tourist destinations recognized worldwide for the excellence, safety and sustainability of its beaches, in addition to continuing to strengthen actions aimed at the conservation and care of these important spaces.
