Economic recovery has been thanks to Los Cabos businessmen: Coparmex

During the first report of activities of the Government of Baja California Sur, the Ministry of Tourism and Economy (Setue), highlighted that in the first quarter of the year, the state registered an economic recovery of 13%, the highest in the country.

Arandi Torres Alvarez, the head of the Confederación Patronal de la República Mexicana (Coparmex) Los Cabos delegation, emphasized the crucial economic moment that the state is going through and stressed that Maribel Collins Sánchez, the secretary of tourism, presented a positive balance as a result of business effort.

She that during this year 2022, the business sector had input into determining public policy, and that their economic contributions had mostly aided the state’s economic recovery.

The most economically dynamic state in the nation is Baja California Sur. 40% of direct foreign investment in the nation’s tourist sector totaled 93 million dollars in the second quarter of the year, according to SETUE’s statistics.

According to data provided by the Baja California Sur Ministry of Tourism and Economy, tourism activity accounts for 75% of the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with Los Cabos accounting for 90% of the state’s economic output.
