The Ironman has gained a lot of global popularity and has had a significant economic impact on the locations where it is held.

Cristal Hernandez will compete in the edition to be held this coming November 6 in Los Cabos. In an interview, she stated:

I am participating as a relay on this occasion. I have usually participated as an individual, but this time I will do a 1.9 km swim in the beautiful Palmilla Beach; then there is a cyclist in a women’s team who will cover 90 km on the bike and a runner who will do the half marathon.

When asked how many people will be participating in this competition, she said:

This is a mid-distance event, we are talking about approximately 1,500 participants already registered. From countries I can tell you about Japan, there are many Europeans, Americans, Canadians. It is an international celebration.

The delivery of packages to the competitors will be next Friday, November 4 to give way to the great sports festival that will leave an important economic benefit to the destination as it is an international sports festival.
