Hurricane Norma has already left the territory of Baja California Sur as a tropical storm, which has allowed the hotel sector to begin the evaluation of damages and the cleaning of its main areas.

Lilz Orcí Fregoso, executive president of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, informed that more than 30,000 guests were sheltered in the various tourist developments affiliated to the association during the storm’s passage.

Regarding the damages suffered by the hotels, the representative of the hotel sector emphasized that they were limited to minor leaks and damages to gardens.

The current weather conditions allow guests to check out of the hotels without any problems. Los Cabos International Airport has resumed normal operations. Concierges have become key allies in providing flight status information, preventing visitors from heading directly to the air terminal.

Authorities have reported that public transportation service is operating normally, and both the beltway and the Transpeninsular Highway are passable without inconveniences.
