Against all expectations, the tourist destination of Los Cabos registered a significant growth compared to 2022. One of the revelation markets this year was not only the Colombian or German tourists, who registered a growth of 38 and 33 respectively. The Japanese market surprised with an increase of more than 500 percent during the period from January to August of this year.

Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, director of Fideicomiso de Turismo (Fiturca) Los Cabos, pointed out that the interest of travelers from the Asian country to visit and get to know the range of experiences offered by the destination has been increasing.

Golf is the main experience sought by the Japanese market in Los Cabos. Publications such as Golf Digest have pointed out the interest of Japanese tourists to practice this sport in one of the 18 exclusive golf courses in the city.

For 2023, Fiturca expects to close the year with the arrival of approximately 4 million tourists, 500K more than those registered last year.
