Maribel Collins, Minister of Tourism and Economy (SETUE), presented the Seal of Inclusive Tourism, issued by the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico, to Sarahi Castro, Administrator of the International Airport of La Paz “Manuel Márquez de León”.

This seal is awarded to those companies offering proper attention to people with disabilities and have the appropriate exterior and interior facilities, signage, and information services to provide quality.

Maribel Collins acknowledged Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacfico (GAP)’s willingness to work day by day to maintain an inclusive culture, by ensuring that the transportation of people with specific mobility needs receives adequate attention from their arrival at the airport to their return to their places of origin, making a destination more competitive.

He also said that inclusive tourism is a developing trend and that La Paz has the conditions for entering this sector, which accounts for 10% of the world’s population.

Finally, he stated that this action will help to enhance the methods that GAP is already executing in collaboration with the Teleton Foundation, such as the GAP BLUE program, which aims to promote dignity via a culture of inclusion.
