La Paz International Film Festival is coming 

The director of the sixth edition of the La Paz International Film Festival, Nadia Partida, emphasized that this event, to be held from October 12 to 14, promotes greater film production among artists and the Southern Californian community. For this reason, they are invited to join the call to showcase the great local talent that resides here.

The director pointed out that the seventh art is beginning to have a greater impact on tourism in Baja California, since it promotes La Paz as a tourist destination as well as a viable location for film production. Guatemala will be the guest of honor.

It is worth noting that one of the essential themes to consider about this festival is related to, through film production, promoting a greater dialogue about the different realities in the regions of Baja California Sur. For example, the contrast between the neighborhoods and the tourist infrastructure of the Magical Town of Todos Santos, or the diverse living conditions in some parts of the municipality of Los Cabos.

An opening gala will be held on October 12 with the film “El norte sobre el vacío” by director Alejandra Márquez, winner of several national and international awards.

Finally, the possible venues will be on the boardwalk of La Paz, the beach “El Coromuel” and some movie theaters, although the details of the festival are still to be confirmed in the coming days.
