The official emphasized that this would be another step in the growth of tourism in the municipality. The aim of the air connections is to facilitate the transfer of tourists who want to vacation in La Paz, thus increasing the number of visitors.

There is a problem with them that they have to put the engines of certain airplanes for maintenance, but that starting in March they have committed to take us into account for the Los Angeles-La Paz flight, so important because there in California converge many tourists from different states who want to travel to Baja California Sur.

Regarding the second international route, the secretary provided few details. However, she emphasized that one of the factors that favored the negotiations was the country’s compliance with the safety standards required by the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States.

According to Grupo Aeroportuario del PacĂfico, from January to October 2023, La Paz International Airport received a total of 11,300 international passengers and 902,200 domestic passengers.
