La Paz Malecon cleaning continues, beaches still dirty

The La Paz boardwalk cleanup continued on Tuesday to collect debris that Hurricane Norma brought to the beach.

Viridiana Angel, the head of ZOFEMAT in La Paz, stated that they anticipate removing multiple tons of garbage from the boardwalk throughout the week. Angel emphasized the importance of acting quickly to prevent the waste from contaminating the bay of La Paz.

Therefore, they will be conducting intensive work. Angel also urged citizens to avoid generating solid waste and to dispose of it properly to prevent it from reaching the sea and harming the ecosystem.
