La Paz nominated by WTA for Adventure Tourism Award

La Paz, Baja California Sur has been nominated by the World Travel Awards in the Adventure Tourism category. This award recognizes the attractiveness and diversity of adventure experiences offered by this city.

The state’s capital city is among the 5 places with open voting, along with Cozumel and Puerto Morelos in Quintana Roo; Jalcomulco, Veracruz; and Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. Voting ends August 20.

Located on the picturesque Baja California peninsula, La Paz is known for its stunning natural beauty and unique outdoor activities. The crystal-clear waters of the Sea of Cortez, also known as the “Aquarium of the World,” provide the perfect setting for snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and whale and dolphin watching.

In addition, La Paz has a desert and mountainous environment that offers exciting land-based activities such as hiking, mountain biking and off-road vehicle tours.

The city is also known for its tranquil and welcoming atmosphere, with a rich local culture and delicious cuisine. Tourists can enjoy walks along the Malecón, one of the most beautiful in the country.

La Paz’s nomination as an adventure tourism destination in the World Travel Awards highlights its potential to attract nature and extreme activities lovers.
