Loreto’s air tourist arrivals increased by 25%

Los Cabos is the most popular tourist destination in Baja California Sur, followed by La Paz and Loreto, which received 10,049 visitors between January and October 2022. According to the Loreto Association of Hotels and Tour Operators, visitor arrivals increased by 25% last year compared to 2019.

Last year, 6,516 tourists arrived by plane, with 60% of them being foreigners.

The Loreto Hotel Association offers 70 boutique hotels and vacation rental properties, totaling 2,300 rooms for tourists looking for lodging.

Loreto’s gastronomy is one of its main tourist attractions; the various hotels and restaurants focus on regional dishes; additionally, its tourist developments offer luxury services to meet the needs of the most demanding travelers.

The Loreto Hotel Association reported an average occupancy rate of 60% in 2022, ranking third in the state. Another distinguishing feature of Loreto is that it has the Magic Town distinction, which is extremely important in attracting tourists who enjoy visiting cities that are significant in the history of the states.
