According to Donna Lauren Jeffries lvarez, municipal director of tourism in Los Cabos, it is time to bring order to whale watching.

To achieve this, they have been collaborating with a number of national government organizations and international programs in an effort to cooperate with the tourism industry on ecosystem-based adaption actions (EbA) as a safeguard for the future development of tourism.

We seek a well-organized, environmentally friendly, and ethical tourism industry. Since we have whales for free since they must be here, we will begin a course this year on appropriate whale watching techniques. We must teach our operators how to work properly because it is crucial to maintain order in whale watching.

According to the municipal director of tourism, Los Cabos will end the year with an increase in visitors of about 3.2 million, or 25% higher than in 2019.

For the benefit of the locals, the Directorate of Tourism aims to position Los Cabos worldwide through initiatives that highlight the area’s top tourist destinations.
