Los Cabos has once again distinguished itself on an international level by being nominated as one of the most outstanding destinations in the industry by the World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars” of the tourism industry.

The nominations and voting for the World Travel Awards are carried out by a group of industry experts who are members of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). These experts are connoisseurs of accommodation, experiences and hospitality.

This year, Baja California Sur was nominated in four categories, with Los Cabos vying for the titles of “Mexico’s Leading Destination”, “Best Beach Destination 2023” and “Leading Beach Resort”. In the case of the state capital, it is vying for the “Adventure Tourism” award.

Voting takes place on the website www.worldtravelawards.com and closes on 9 July.

The most prestigious category in the World Travel Awards is “Leading Destination”, where Los Cabos will compete with renowned destinations such as Cancun, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico City, Oaxaca and San Miguel de Allende. This competition highlights the importance and quality of Los Cabos as a destination on a national and international level.
