Los Cabos to hold its first Vegan Gastronomic Festival

The Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS) and the municipality’s Directorate of Tourism will host the first Vegan Gastronomic Festival of Los Cabos with the goals of putting students’ newly acquired knowledge to use and showcasing the best of South Californian cuisine.

The event will take place on October 14 at a Cabo San Lucas restaurant where students and professors will prepare a unique vegan menu showcasing all of the skills they have learnt while enrolled in the state’s top university.

It is a festival that originated with the idea of the gastronomy major students at Cabo San Lucas’ Autonomous University of Baja California Sur. Working together, we are doing everything we can to help them, especially in terms of organization. There will undoubtedly be a recovery charge for the institution since this event will take place at Metate Cabo on October 14. If there are sponsors, we would be delighted to participate in this event because the students are providing the raw materials.

“Los Cabos is known for its extensive gastronomy and excellent-caliber restaurants, and the students did a fantastic job in their search for sponsors, getting the support of their professors, and organizing this festival that combines the knowledge they have with gastronomy and tourism.”

The cost of the event includes a recovery charge, which allows the students to keep planning activities that allow them to use what they learn in class.
