Los Cabos with 80% occupancy for Thanksgiving Day

With  Thanksgiving Day, Los Cabos is expecting the arrival of close to 30 thousand foreigners, which translates into a hotel occupancy rate of 80%. Lilzi Orcí Fregoso, Executive President of the Los Cabos Hotel Association (AHLC), shared this information, highlighting that most of the visitors are from the United States, being this market the number one in the municipality. She also explained that their stay is usually about one week.

 

According to the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), 79% of the American tourists who visit the destination come mainly from Texas, California, Illinois, New York, Florida and Arizona.

 

Lilzi Orcí Fregoso emphasized the importance of this date for the tourism sector in Los Cabos.

 

It is a very important celebration for our main market and in such a way is that hotels and restaurants have these special events to be able to carry out this celebration with visitors, they have the dinners, either private or in the restaurant in general, with a menu according to the traditions of this holiday.

 

This achievement is due to the commitment of the companies within the destination’s tourism value chain. According to the Ministry of Tourism, in 2022, more than 13.3 million US visitors arrived in the country by air, an increase of 28% compared to 2021.
