New road to connect Los Cabos airport to La Ribera  

The highway connecting the Los Cabos International Airport and the La Ribera delegation will be widened, according to recent announcements from the Baja California Sur Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT). The project entails extending the federal highway’s lanes from seven to twelve meters, allowing for a total of four lanes. In order to improve driver safety, it was also emphasized how much the curved areas had improved.

There is currently no known investment amount for this work, but the SICT stated that they will first work to have the executive project, which will enable them to request the required resources for the execution of this work the following year.

“Until we have the executive project, we cannot determine the total cost of the work. I’m not sure of the exact number, but we figure it would be close to 40 kilometers.

With the development of opulent hotels, marinas, and homes over the past few years, the area around La Ribera and Cabo del Este has expanded significantly. The need for road improvements in this area has been driven by this development.
