Tourist surge fills La Paz hotels for Baja 1000

Hotel occupancy in La Paz, Baja California Sur, is currently at 83 percent and for this weekend the Ministry of Tourism and Economy of the entity, estimates that it will reach 100 percent.

Everything is ready for the Baja 1000, this desert race will take place from November 13 to 18, 2023, where, in its 56th edition, it will start from La Paz and the finish line will be in Ensenada, Baja California.

The 1,100-mile route, the longest in the history of the race, will be run by competitors from 25 countries, mainly from the United States, Canada, England, Australia and Peru. In addition, there will be the participation of more than 350 competing teams and the visit of 5 thousand people during this period, generating an economic benefit of more than 100 million pesos.

There are 5 thousand people who will be directly participating in the race, plus an estimated 20 thousand fans, who will leave in the state an economic revenue of more than 100 million pesos, reflected in a hotel occupancy rate of 100 percent for the days of the event. Not to mention the great tourist promotion by having coverage in 200 specialized media outlets, both national and international.
