12 flights at Vallarta airport affected by Popocatepetl activity

Following the fall of volcanic ash from the Popocatepetl volcano, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) announced that seven flights were delayed and five operations were cancelled at Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

Although GAP did not identify the 12 flights that had been impacted since last Saturday, it did alert users via the airport’s local Facebook page that some flights to and from this city had been ash from Popocatepetl.

However, as of Tuesday, there had been no further cancellations or delays, and operations at Puerto Vallarta Airport had been as usual.

GAP reported today that several of the network’s airports are still experiencing intermittent effects and consequences on flight operations as a result of the volcanic ash in Mexico City.
