305K Canadian visitors arrived in Vallarta in 8 months

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board informed that up to August of this year, this tourist destination has received almost 305 thousand Canadian visitors, surpassing by 2.15% the annual total of 2022, where 298 thousand 358 tourists from this market were registered.

The arrival of Canadian tourism to Puerto Vallarta has begun, so for this season, Canadian airlines such as Transat, Westjet, Air Canada, among others, will increase by up to 24% their number of seats on flights from Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria, to mention a few, which will allow this destination to close at least 75% of annual average occupancy.

According to data from the Federal Ministry of Tourism, at a national level at the close of 2023, there is an expectation of the arrival of Canadian tourists via air of 2 million 338 thousand, which represents a growth of 32.9% compared to 2022 and a recovery of 1.2% compared to 2019.

Spending of 2,701 million dollars will also be recorded, which is 38.6% higher than in 2022 and 15.5% more than the spending observed in 2019.

Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, has announced that during the first nine months of the year, Puerto Vallarta International Airport had 5 million 60 thousand passengers and has grown 11% in international users and 13% in domestic users compared to the same period of 2022.
