Standing out with a vibrant atmosphere of healthy competition, the 34th edition of the Puerto Vallarta International Sports Classic was held at the Auditorium of the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Unit last week.

The competition originated in 1990, with former Canadian basketball player Howard Kelsey being the creator of this distinguished event. Since then, the event has evolved into a gathering point for athletes from different parts of the world, who come together with the sole purpose of sharing and enjoying physical activity through sports, while taking advantage of the natural beauty of the destination.

In commemoration of its 34th anniversary, this year’s event featured the participation of 8 veteran teams, composed of ex-NBA players over 45 years old, both local and invited. Additionally, 16 teams gathered in the men’s open division category, with teams from Guadalajara, Canada, the United States, and Nayarit, totaling more than 4000 participants.

This significant sporting event once again stood out as a space for the promotion of sports, international integration, and cultural exchange, leaving a legacy of friendship and competitiveness among the participants.
