5th Mango Festival edition 2023 announced

The Puerto Vallarta-Highland Park Sister Cities Committee is hosting the 5th Mango Festival 2023 this coming Saturday, July 15, in order to raise money for the building of a House of Culture in Los Llanitos, Ixtapa.

The committee’s president, Paula Jimenez, announced at a press conference that 18 restaurants from the city had been invited to participate in this edition and provide dishes and beverages with mango as the primary ingredient.

From 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Lázaro Cárdenas Park will host the celebration. There will also be prizes given out for the best mango-based dish, beverage, and dessert.

The restaurants will be donating 120 dishes and the proceeds will go to this Casa de la Cultura, a project that will be delivered tomorrow to this committee, which includes green areas, kitchenettes, restrooms and more.

The value of this project is 4 million pesos, which is why this type of fundraising events are held to raise funds and lay the first stone in November or December of this year.
