65% hotel occupancy projected for summer in Vallarta

Vanessa Perez Lamas, the president of Jalisco’s Ministry of Tourism, stated that Puerto Vallarta might attain a hotel occupancy rate of 65% in September, and that solutions will be developed to combat the reduction in visitor arrivals.

According to the state official, Puerto Vallarta had a fantastic summer vacation season, but there will be a low influx of tourists, despite the fact that this is a normal cycle that occurs every year.

She highlighted that there are always strategies that they are attempting to apply, despite the fact that the market is declining, as the summer has just ended, vacation periods are ending, and this is a natural, economic cycle issue, but there will be efforts to prevent it.

It is worth noting that restaurants in Puerto Vallarta are also reporting a low affluence of diners; some are even closing for refurbishment or to offer their personnel vacations and will not reopen until October.
