A Night of Love and Support: Puerto Vallarta’s Entertainment Community Comes Together for Jordon Carnegie

April 15, 2025
Puerto Vallarta’s vibrant entertainment scene showed its heart on Wednesday, April 9th, during a moving and star-studded benefit concert at The Palm Cabaret. Titled “Midnight Radio: The Brightest Stars,” the evening brought together the community to support beloved performer Jordon Carnegie, who is recovering from a traumatic dog attack that left him hospitalized and in need of extensive oral reconstruction surgery.
With medical bills soaring past 95,000 pesos, the benefit was a resounding display of compassion and unity. Hosted by the charismatic Sargento Dan, the sold-out show featured powerhouse performances by Vallarta’s finest talent, including Effie Passero, Sutton Lee Seymour, Ada Vox, and many more. All performers generously donated their time and talent, with one goal in mind: to help one of their own.
Jordon, a two-time Broadway World nominee with nearly 25 years in the performing arts, is known for his standout roles in Elvis: It’s Now or Never, The Rocky Horror Show, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Since moving to Puerto Vallarta three years ago with his husband Richard, he has become a cherished figure in the local entertainment community.
The night was more than just a concert—it was a powerful reminder of the tight-knit and supportive spirit that defines Puerto Vallarta. The Palm’s venue was filled with emotion, laughter, tears, and standing ovations, as friends and fans came together to lift Jordon through one of the toughest times in his life.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Jordon expressed his gratitude:
“Thank you to everyone involved, especially Maria Eugenia Prado Conti, Adriana Lopez, Mark Robert Rome, and The Palm for making this possible. This has been the hardest challenge of my life, but knowing I have such love surrounding me means everything.”
For those who couldn’t attend the event, a GoFundMe campaign remains active to help cover Jordon’s ongoing medical expenses. The generosity of the Puerto Vallarta community continues to shine, showing that in this city, no one faces hardship alone.
