Air connections to Puerto Vallarta to increase in June
May 16, 2023
Luis Antonio Villaseñor Nolasco, director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, announced that this June the destination will receive two new flights: one from Volaris and the other from JetBlue.
The tour operator said that during the first two weeks of this month, the Puerto Vallarta International Airport received more than 800 flights, or 50 operations per day, while the summer arrives, and more will be added.
“As of June 1, Volaris will fly daily with the Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta route and will allow us to connect with 19 cities of this hub located in the state capital, and on June 15 we will have the start of operations of daily flights JetBlue with a route Los Angeles – Puerto Vallarta, this will add another very important market for the destination”.
These flights, he said, will strengthen the priority markets for Puerto Vallarta and increase the number of seats and connectivity conditions.
Villaseñor Nolasco mentioned that the Guadalajara – Puerto Vallarta route with Volaris will reach regions where there are not many connections, such as the north of the country, attracting visitors from Hermosillo, Mexicali, Culiacan and other destinations.
In the case of JetBlue, the connection will be strengthened in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, which is the main outbound market for Puerto Vallarta. Regarding seats, he mentioned that the Volaris one has about 186 seats and the JetBlue one also has about 180 seats.
It is worth remembering that last year Puerto Vallarta received the route from New York to this destination with 4 frequencies per week by the airline JetBlue.
The Volaris flight will depart from Guadalajara at 12:42 and arrive in Puerto Vallarta at 13:38. The return flight will leave Puerto Vallarta at 14:08 and arrive in Guadalajara at 15:15.
